NEET UG · Computer-based from 2027

From 2027, NEET is a CBT. Start now.

The NTA moved the paper onto a screen. This is the screen, with the whole syllabus behind it.

One click after you sign up. It opens the whole question bank, all fifteen mock papers and every past paper.

The Ascent

The whole syllabus as one line to walk.

Every live chapter, in an order you choose, up one mountain. A step is one chapter, sat as ten questions mixed across formats. Six chapters is a camp. Your current step is the first one you have not cleared — which is the only instruction the Ascent ever gives you.

Camp01

~106 marks in a typical paper · steps 1–6

Clear the camp · Pro

The first steps of the default route · the whole climb

  1. That line beside me is your route, and every disc on it is one chapter.
  2. A step is ten questions, mixed: MCQs, typed ones, an Assertion–Reason.
  3. Three stars a step — and they are the chapter’s own score, not a second one.
  4. Six chapters is a camp. The first six are about a hundred marks of the paper.
  5. So start at step one: the first chapter you have not cleared.

The interface

The same screen, the same squares.

What the NTA announced

On 15 May 2026 the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced that NEET-UG would move to a computer-based test. On 14 September 2026 the NTA's Director General, Abhishek Singh, confirmed it for the 2027 cycle. Ten days earlier the agency had written to AICTE to map which institutions could host the centres. The change follows the 2026 paper leak.

What changes
The medium. A screen, an on-screen timer, a question palette, and mark-for-review instead of an OMR sheet.
What does not
The syllabus. The same Class 11 and Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Biology you are studying now.
What it means
Every candidate sitting NEET 2027 has an interface to learn, on top of the subject.

This is a change of medium, not of content: the chapters you opened this morning are the chapters you will be examined on. The only genuinely new thing is the screen, and a screen is the one part of an exam you can practise until it is boring.

ExamGraph's mock papers have run in an NTA-style question palette since before the announcement. What is drawn below is the component the app runs.

Reading the palette at speed

The palette on the right of a computer-based test is the thing you learn to read while the clock runs: how many are green, how many are still red with eleven minutes left. ExamGraph builds the same palette over the same paper: 180 questions, 180 minutes, grouped by subject in the order the paper puts them. The rehearsal is the same shape as the thing it rehearses.

Question 1

Which of the following statements about the fluid mosaic model of the plasma membrane is correct?

  1. 1Lipids are arranged in a single layer with proteins confined to the surface
  2. 2The quasi-fluid nature of lipid enables lateral movement of proteins within the bilayer
  3. 3Peripheral proteins are embedded completely within the lipid bilayer
  4. 4The model was proposed by Robertson in 1959

One question from a 180-question paper, drawn by the component the app runs.

Five states, because NTA distinguishes five. A question you marked and also answered still counts for evaluation, so it gets its own square rather than being hidden inside "marked" — which is why the palette above carries all five at once.

Sit one full paper and you will never have to think about the legend again.

The record

You know which chapters cost you the rank and still have nothing that acts on that daily.

Every answer lands in one place.

A topic test, the daily ten, a full mock, a paper you built yourself, a past paper: they all write into the same two rows, one line in your attempt history and one updated score for that chapter. There is no separate "practice mode" that does not count, and no surface that keeps its own private tally.

  • Topic tests
  • Mock papers
  • The daily ten

One record

  1. Marked on the server, not in your browser

Your device sends which option you picked. The correct answer is read back from the question bank and compared there, so a score is a fact rather than something the page decided about itself.

  2. Ten minutes of streak practice counts like a test

The daily ten and a deliberate topic test go through exactly the same grading path, so the habit you keep in the morning moves the same chapter score a serious sitting moves.

The order is decided by your own scores.

When ExamGraph suggests a chapter, it is not walking the syllabus in order and it is not guessing. It reads your per-chapter best score and the date you last touched each one, sorts them worst first, and tells you which bucket each one came out of.

The order your scores give

  • OpticsWeak

  • Human ReproductionFlagged
  • Current Electricity
  • Equilibrium
  • Biomolecules
  • Thermodynamics
  • Body Fluids & Circulation
Weak
Best score under 40%. These come first, worst first.
Flagged
You said this one was a problem and have never tested it.
Middling
Best score under 70%. Good enough to feel safe, not enough to be.
Stale
Above 70%, but untouched for three weeks or more.
Untried
Never attempted. Last, because a guess is not a gap.
  1. What you say about yourself is only the seed

At signup you can flag the chapters you think are weak. Those lead only until you have sat something. A student who says they are weak at Optics before ever attempting it is guessing; a measured 34% is a fact, and the fact wins.

  2. It never recommends a chapter you have not been taught

Tell it you are in Class 11 and Class 12 chapters stop counting as gaps. They stay open if you want to read ahead. They are not held against you.

A question bank hands you questions. This keeps the result. Every number you are shown later is arithmetic on answers you have already given, not a guess about you.

The loop

What happens after a red square.

  1. You pick the wrong option

The paper marks it and moves on. Nothing interrupts the sitting.

  2. You ask for the working

A step-by-step explanation is written out for that exact question and the exact option you chose — not a stored solution, and not an explanation of somebody else’s mistake.

  3. The chapter score moves

That question belonged to a chapter. The chapter’s number changes, whether the question came from a mock, the daily ten or a test you sat on purpose.

  4. The next set already knows

Fall under 40% and the chapter moves to the front of what you are offered next. You do not have to remember to come back to it.

And if the question itself is wrong, report it. It is pulled out of your paper and replaced, and it stops being served while it is reviewed.

A tutor that opens your results before it opens its mouth.

Study advice is generic because it has no idea what you got wrong. This one reads your attempt history first: what you scored, what you keep missing, what you have never opened. Only then does it answer.

  1. It starts from your marks, not the syllabus order

The weakest chapter carrying the most marks comes first, and it says out loud why it picked that one.

  2. It explains the idea in plain words

When the gap is the concept itself, it explains it in its own words, one step at a time, at the level the exam asks for, rather than handing you a paragraph to reread.

  3. It ends in the test it just argued for

Every answer finishes with a button that builds the practice set, so the advice and the questions are one step apart.

What is in it

A question bank of 90k+, chapter by chapter.

72
Chapters, the whole NEET UG syllabus as it stands now.
19
Physics chapters, from Physical World to Electronic Devices.
21
Chemistry chapters, physical, inorganic and organic.
32
Biology chapters, half the paper.

Every chapter is tagged Class 11 or Class 12, and none of it is behind a bundle you buy separately. Behind the 72 sit 90k+ questions with step-by-step explanations, open on Pro from the first day rather than released to you a chapter at a time. Practise one chapter at a time, or mix them. What is in the question bank.

The server keeps a list of what it has already served you and prefers questions you have not seen. Repetition, when it happens, is because you asked for it.

Fifteen papers, plus the ones you build yourself.

Fixed mocks

15 full papers. 180 questions, 180 minutes, 45 Physics, 45 Chemistry, 90 Biology — the split NEET actually uses. Sit them timed or untimed.

180 questions · 180 minutes

Papers you build

Pick the chapters, pick the length: 45, 90 or 180 questions. Five chapters is the minimum, because a short paper spread across two chapters tests nothing. Build as many as you want.

45 / 90 / 180

Past papers

18 papers, one for every year from 2009 to 2026, with their official answers and solutions. Sat the same way and marked the same way. Free on every account, before and after 1 November.

A mock score only means something if the paper was the same length, the same split and the same three hours. These are.

The question types you have never practised on purpose.

Five formats, each as its own practice set rather than a handful of questions buried inside a mock. All five come with the pass.

  • Assertion–Reason

Two statements, and four ways they can relate: both true and the second explains the first, both true and it does not, one true, neither. Marked strictly, then explained line by line.

  • Match the Following

Column I against Column II. It eats minutes in the Biology section, because you cannot half-answer it and you cannot skip it cheaply.

  • Statement type

Two or more labelled statements, and you decide which are correct. One wrong word makes a whole statement false, so each one is judged on its own.

  • Correct Sequence

Events, steps or stages to put in their correct order. Fix the first and last you are sure of, then place the rest between them.

  • Numerical

One- or two-step calculations, with the data in the stem and four numeric options. Physics and Chemistry only. Write the formula before you substitute, and check the unit against the options.

Every morning

Ten questions every morning, and every question you got wrong.

One short set a day, waiting when you open the app. It is not a step on the Ascent and it is not meant to be: ten questions, not fifty, because ten is a number you will still do on the day you do not want to do anything.

  • Physics
  1. It rotates on a fixed cycle

Biology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics. Biology gets half the slots because Biology is half the paper. The cycle is fixed, so you know what tomorrow is.

  2. A refresh cannot reroll it

The same calendar day always resolves to the same ten. You cannot skip past a question you did not like by reloading the page, and the day turns over at midnight in India, not in a server’s timezone.

  3. The streak survives the morning

Finish yesterday and your streak is intact whether or not you have started today. It only breaks when a whole day passes with nothing done — any other rule punishes you for opening the app early.

The questions you got wrong come back on their own.

You do not build this list. Every question you miss, skip or star goes into your Mistake Vault as you sit. It comes back after a day, then three days, a week, sixteen days, thirty-five. Get it wrong again and it returns to one day. It leaves the queue after two clean answers a week apart, because getting something right twice in one evening proves nothing.

A question comes back after one day, three days, seven days, sixteen days and thirty-five days.

Written for you
A blank on a topic test is a gap, so it counts; a blank on a mock is strategy, so it does not.
Fifteen at a time
A review sitting is fifteen questions. The answer stays behind a tap, because reading a hundred and fifty answers in a row is not practice.

Other people

The same paper as your friends, and a board you have to ask to be on.

A circle is up to thirty students who join by a link. Anyone can post a paper at the rest, and everyone who sits it lands on the same board. Any paper here can be the paper: a topic test, a mock, one you built, a past paper, a typed or Assertion–Reason set.

  2. Only the question ids are posted

  3. The server rebuilds the paper from the bank, under the same checks as any other paper here

No chat
There is no chat in a circle. No messages, no threads, nothing to moderate. You send a paper; you see the scores.
It counts as practice
A circle sitting is recorded exactly like any other, so your history, your chapter scores and your Mistake Vault move as they would have alone.
Your friend’s paper is free to sit
If a member with the pass builds a paper out of paid content, a member without it can still sit it. The cap is on whoever builds the paper.

The board shows the name on your profile, and your first sitting is the one that stands. Nobody sees your email address.

A rank out of 720, if you ask to be on it.

Leaderboards are opt-in. Until you join you are not listed, not counted and not in anyone’s median, though you can look up where you would stand. There is a national board and a board for your state.

  • Physics 180
  • Chemistry 180
  • Biology 360
The board’s scale is the paper’s.
What the rating is
720 marks, the real paper’s total, built chapter by chapter from how well you actually score in each one, weighted by that chapter’s share of the exam.
What it will not do
A chapter enters your rating only once you have fifteen recorded outcomes in it. Ten easy questions at 100 % cannot put a chapter at full marks on a board other people read.
What is free, and what the pass adds
The boards, your standing, your rank and your percentile are free for good. The pass adds your rank line over time, the curve you sit on, your standing subject by subject, and your milestones.

Your rank is saved every night, so the line is your own history rather than a number that resets.

"2 in total, ever" means what it says: two topic tests for the life of the account, not two a month.

Practising on the free trial does not spend any of that. The two topic tests and the five explanations are counted only for a free account, so on 1 November they are still sitting there unused.

No card is asked for anywhere on this page, and the free account does not expire. It is there so you can check that everything above this line is real.

Questions

The six things people ask before signing up.

No, and it does not pretend to be. There are no video lectures and no coaching classes here. ExamGraph is where you practise and where you find out what you do not know. If you are learning a chapter for the first time, learn it somewhere else and then come here to find out whether it stuck.

A record your coaching does not keep. Coaching tests you on what it taught this week; ExamGraph keeps a per-chapter score across everything you have ever attempted, so the chapters that quietly slipped in August still show up in October. You can build a custom paper on exactly the chapters your class covered this week and sit it the same evening.

It runs in a phone browser. On a small screen the question palette collapses to a counter you tap to open, so the question itself keeps the width. A Google Play Store and App Store build is in the works.

No. It is one payment for the NEET 2027 pass, and access runs to 31 May 2027. Nothing renews, no card is kept on file for a next cycle, and there is nothing to cancel. You do not have to buy it today either: until 1 November you can claim free Pro instead, in one click and without a card.

Claim the free Pro and you have all of it until 1 November: the full question bank, all fifteen mock papers, unlimited topic tests, the special formats and the AI tutor, with no card. It is one click, but it is a click — nothing is switched on for you. After 1 November a free account keeps mock paper 1 in full, the daily ten every morning, two topic tests in total, one custom paper of up to 30 questions, five step-by-step explanations for as long as the account exists, and every past paper. The AI tutor is not part of a free account. Practising on the trial spends none of those free allowances.

Nothing is deleted. Your attempt history and your chapter scores belong to the account, not to the pass, and they are all still there if you come back.

Start with mock paper 1.

It is the full 180 questions and the full three hours, in the palette, free, and it does not ask for a card. At the end of it you will have a score and a list of the chapters that produced it. That is the whole pitch — go and check whether it is true.

One click after you make the account, no card, and it runs until 1 November. The account you make now also fixes the pass at ₹750.
