The Ascent

The whole syllabus as one line to walk.

Every live chapter, in an order you choose, up one mountain. A step is one chapter. Six chapters is a camp. Your current step is the first one you have not cleared — which is the only instruction the Ascent ever gives you.

Camp01

~106 marks in a typical paper · steps 1–6

Clear the camp · Pro
  1. That line beside me is your route, and every disc on it is one chapter.
  2. A step is ten questions, mixed: MCQs, typed ones, an Assertion–Reason.
  3. Three stars a step — and they are the chapter’s own score, not a second one.
  4. Six chapters is a camp. The first six are about a hundred marks of the paper.
  5. So start at step one: the first chapter you have not cleared.

What the climb is made of

It keeps no separate score
A step’s stars are the chapter’s own score. If the chapter decays, the stars decay with it. There is no second progress bar to keep topped up.
You choose the route once
Heaviest chapters first, rotating Physics, Chemistry, Biology; or all of Class 11 and then all of Class 12, the way school teaches it. Park a chapter and it drops to the tail.
Altitude is counted in steps, not marks
A chapter cleared anywhere is a step of height, measured against Everest’s 8,849 m. Six chapters cleared is a camp. Clear every step and you are at the flag.
A step is one sitting
Ten questions mixed across formats — MCQs, typed questions, an Assertion–Reason, and past-paper questions with the pass. It is recorded as an ordinary chapter test, so your history, your chapter score and your Mistake Vault all move as they would anywhere else.
Clear the camp
Thirty questions across a camp’s six chapters in one sitting, recorded as six ordinary topic tests, so every chapter’s score moves. Part of the pass.
